This is the novel Persuasion by Jane Austen in full audiobook and videobook form. Read along with this complete and unabridged classic text. Chapter timestamps, acknowledgments, and more in the description below.

Anne Elliot, a young Englishwoman of twenty-seven years, has dedicated her life to taking care of her financially irresponsible family. They find themselves moving to lower their expenses and reduce their debt by renting their home to an Admiral and his wife. The wife’s brother, Navy Captain Frederick Wentworth, was once engaged to Anne seven years prior, but the engagement was broken when Anne was “persuaded” by her friends and family to end their relationship. Anne and Captain Wentworth, both single and unattached, meet again after this seven-year separation, setting the scene for many humorous encounters as well as a second, well-considered chance at love and marriage for Anne. Will she learn to trust her heart or will she fall to the pressures of society once again?

Persuasion is the last novel written by Jane Austen. It was published along with Northanger Abbey at the end of 1817, six months after her passing.
